Before the ceremony began, they showed many mini-interviews and videos. Showcasing the different faculties in NUS as well as the difficulties some of the graduates went through during their course. They even interviewed one guy who got a DOUBLE degree and asked him how he managed his time, and his ans was --- less slp. Sane guy ...
The ceremony was really an eye-opener. First, there was this presiding officer and then there's an emcee. Before a new group of graduates come up to receive their degree, the emcee would declare "Mr Presiding Officer, may I present upon you, the graduates under ----------- whose degree has just been recently conferred" (something along tt line). There were really many graduates, the whole presentation took abt an hour. In addition to that, there was many speeches made by ex graduates as well as the valedictorian (top graduate of the cohort).
The valedictorian's speech was damn zhai ... he gave an overview of uni life and went on to thank 3 people who made the most impact on his life --- his family, his best friend and his girlfriend. He ended off with a quote from Albert Einstein --- do not just strive to be a man of success, but strive to be a man of value, tt rounded up everything nicely and won much applause from the audience.
Took LOADS of photos after the ceremony. Here's a peek :)
