The opening ceremony of the Xin Ma Cup was damn niao... The Chairman of the Malaysia Xiangqi Zonghui made a speech about the history of the Xin Ma Cup, he was kind enough to remind us that Malaysia has been winning the past 7 Xin Ma Cups ....

Well, the adult section won by a narrow margin, 11-9 YAY! At least got back some of our pride haha ... but the youth team lost pretty badly, 12-4, HAIZ... Well my personal record was 1 win 1 lose, so at least contributed to half our score haha ... Lost to the KL champ in the first round, haizzz, sacrificed a seed to attack, then got counter-attacked and lost in the end =( . Nvm, good experience anyway. My second opponent was the champion from another district (can't rmb which) and I won in 17 steps coze he didnt know tt particular opening, wow ...

Went to have dinner at 海鲜楼 after competition with all the chess players. The food was really nice and I had a nice chat with Guo Jiaming --- exexex U18 champ ==> currently undergoing medical studies to become a doctor and a national representative for chinese chess, a bit noob guy ...

Lost 8 marks for physics already, Haizzzz, only if I had more time to study =( . Suan le, it's over anyway ... Com's speaker is spoilt, can't listen to songs on my com for the whole wk =( Haiz, first Xin Ma Cup and now this ... Like that's not enough, my handphone is malfunctioning as well, cannot make and receive phone calls ... what did I do to deserve all this ...

Added another person to my revenge list --- 石健伟. Currently have Yee Hong, Peng fei and him on the list ... Muz work harder, haha ... Juz realised that this is my third competition since March hols, no wonder I feel so stressed recently. On top of that, there will be a HC cup on 5th and 12th of May, national competition from 26th May to 7th June, Raffles Cup from 4th to 6th June. 6 competitions in 3 months, sane ar ...

Hmm, went over to high school side and watch my juniors train today ... quite interesting, can feel that they are improving, hopeful for Raffles Cup champion this yr =), which would be our 2nd champion in 2 yrs ...

AAARRGGH, received the greatest shock of my life when I reached home today, Xin Ma Cup would be held at 7pm at Xiang Zong tmr and 2pm on Sunday. WTFWTFWTF .... My Physics MONDAY test!! Where am I going to find the time to study? Sian lar, to think I juz asked my coach today about when Xin Ma cup is and he told mi it should be during the June hols ... only to find out tt it's tmr when I reached home. 老天在耍我吗?

Haizzz, looks like I have to study on the bus and MRT liao, must make full use of every second I have ... Core Module tmr ... What very bad timing indeed ... Going to sleep early tonight and study physics on my way to sch tmr... I am so desperate ...

Have a feeling I m gonna screw my Xin Ma cup ... sian dun want to do badly on my first international comp ... wish me luck tmr, coze I m gonna need it ...

The finals were short and sweet, juz 2 rounds. 1st round = Oscar ... Beidou A vs Beidou B, lol so just fed them :) I had a 2 elephant advantage but I purposely let my clock drop coze board 3 and 4 supposed to 送... and I was board 4 ... haha, nvm abt tt ...

My second round was imba ... played against 沈荣春, who represented Singapore in international competitions b4 ... and he was an asterisk (有级别的选手). The starting was imba, he sacrificed a seed and attacked viciously, and I defended like crazy, my king went to the "third" storey once >< ... but I counter attacked when the worst was over, and I managed to win somehow :) Haiz, but my win was insignificant as one of my team members mang shuai ... in the end the overall score was 1 win, 2 draw, 1 lose and our team lost even though overall score is draw since our ranking for the first 5 rounds was lower :( .

Won $150 for 3 days of hard work, overall score for competition (not including the oscar match) was 2 win, 1 draw, 1 lose. Not too bad I suppose ... Haiz, juz received a call from Xiangqi Zong Hui and I have to play zhao ru quan tmr, along with the champion, 3rd and 4th placings of U18 Char Yong Cup (Top 4 of U18 play 车轮战 with zhao ru quan).

Got a good experience and some money from this competition at the cost of my long weekend. Monday is taken up for the 车轮战 somemore, ARGH. HAIZ, when am I going to find time to do my PI??? Feel so GG now ... Fighting a losing battle against time :( Sian ...

Had competition yesterday and today ... currently part of Beidou team B, haizz, first time we are viewed as freebies in a competition ...

Played two rounds on friday ... 1 win 1 draw, tt's not bad already, though I think I should have won the 2nd match, had 2 pawn advantage but couldn't win ... feel so zb .... My first match was against Yi Hao, who was the U16 champ for Char Yong Cup, it was quite a good match. Hmm, played Yee Hong today ... got pwned, haiz. 所谓人外有人，天外有天, I still have a long way to go ...

Today marks the third chess titan I fought, after Peng fei and Junyang. Current score: 2 lose 1 draw, haiz muz get revenge someday ... someday that is.... >< Nvm about me, Beidou team B made it to top 4! Beidou team A got 1st, as expected ... gonna have 2 more rounds of competition tmr to decide the 1st to 4th, 5th to 8th, 9th to 12th, 13th and 14th placings. Confirmed at least 4th liao = $$$ Haha, I am so pragmatic ...

Gonna go reflect on my match today, bye!
